Casual Friday Event with Richmond Animal Care & Control
On Friday July 29th, The Strum Group had the honor of fostering Surfer Rosa, an adorable pit mix from Richmond Animal Care & Control (RACC), for the day! She was our guest Realtor for the day and stopped by some of our active listings to make sure they were prepared for weekend showings. RACC’s Casual Friday Foster Dog Event event allows businesses to foster an adoptable dog for the day to help provide exposure and help find furever homes for their pets. The Strum Group was more than excited to take part in this event and share this once in a lifetime experience with this sweet lady. Our goal was to help Surfer Rosa and our clients find their forever homes!
Surfer Rosa started the day by joining some of our agents for a team meeting to discuss upcoming listings, open houses, and client closings. Her presence was a welcomed addition to our weekly meeting with her calming energy and allowed our team to decompress after a hectic work day. She received an abundance of cuddles from Ashley Grant, Dave Brookins, Drew Setzer and our admin staff. The meeting was so exhausting she had to take a power nap in front of The Strum Group sold signs before heading out for the day. And of course we had to take a team photo to commemorate our guest Realtor’s appearance.
After her power nap, we headed to Dave Brookins listing on Woodland Rd in Hopewell to shoot a quick video for social media. Surfer Rosa is a star when she gets the spotlight and had too much fun running around this stunning home. Her favorite feature of the home was the luxurious walk-in shower and the views of the Appomattox River from the grant brick patio!
From Hopewell, we then went to Dobbin Rd in Henrico to make sure everything was ready for weekend showings. The yard was so nicely landscaped she was able to catch a tan and roll around in the grass before heading to the next listing.
In the car riding from one listing to the next, Surfer Rosa dominated the car with some car karaoke, displaying her magnificent singing skills! When she wasn’t on the mic, she was napping in the back seat or looking out the windows enjoying the scenic landscapes Richmond has to offer.
We made a quick stop at Sean Carlton’s listing on Chauncey Ln in the West End just in time to catch a showing on their way out. She checked on the potential buyers and made sure their showing was up to par. With positive showing reviews in hand, Surfer Rosa was ready to ride to the next listing.
With another round of car karaoke under her belt, we stopped by Mariners Ct in Midlothian to check on our new construction property. She absolutely loved the cul-de-sac and envisions herself in a furever home where her evening walks are as picturesque as this new construction neighborhood.
The day was getting long, but she had one more stop on the itinerary before getting lunch and heading home. Right as we arrived at our Warminster Dr listing in Midlothian, it started raining and she knew a storm was coming. We quickly took some pictures outside the house and made sure everything was good to go for the weekend before heading out to avoid a downpour.
From Warminster we stopped by Starbucks for a much deserved pup cup lunch and watched the rain come in. Once the rain subsided we made our way back to RACC to end an eventful day.
Taking Surfer Rosa back to RACC was heart wrenching, but it was time for her to find her furever home. Everyone at The Strum Group looks forward to seeing her adopted and happy with her new family who will enjoy her shining personality and loving heart. We loved every second we got to spend with her and cannot wait to participate in another Casual Friday event with RACC.
